Well, I can honestly say that we are about 8 hours away from leaving Henry County and I am pretty nervous. Here are a few ways you can pray for us as we travel:
1. [Travelling Mercies] With 90 people going, we have at least 7 or 8 vehicles pulling trailers and loaded down with luggage. We need God’s mercy as we travel. Pray against flat tires, breakdowns, car sickness, etc.
2. [Wednesday Night] We are having a session with James Welch, the pastor of Sojourn Church. He is going to be challenging us and communicating his vision for the body of Christ in New Orleans. Please be in prayer for our students, that they would gain a vision for how God could use them while in New Orleans as well as how they could be used back here in Henry County. Also, pray for any students who do not know Christ, that they would hear His voice and be compelled by the prospect of serving Him to follow Jesus.
3. [Weather] There is a 40 percent chance of thunder storms on Thursday and Friday. Please pray that we will be able to complete the work that has been requested of us in between the showers.
We want to thank everyone in advance for their participation in this mission trip. We have had almost $10,000 given or raised, over 700 bottles of water donated, and a great number of various supplies given. This trip has been made possible by the body of Christ coming together to work as one. Thank you for everything!
